Glenn Hall, aka Micro, started riding at age 10 in his hometown of Umina, Australia, just north of Sydney. Once the ASP Australasia Pro Junior Series champion, and currently the Europe ASP tour #2, Micro has a wealth of surfing experience and accolades behind him. His professional results include: 1st place in the Portrush Open in Ireland, where he also took home prizes for Best Individual Score and Most Powerful Maneuver; 4th place overall in the 2008 European ASP tour; 5th place in the 2008 Rip Curl Pro Zarautz in Spain; 16th place in the Lazanau Pro World Qualifying Series (WQS) in France; 16th place in the Highland Open WQS in Scotland; 2nd place in the Pantin, Spain WQS in 2006; 2nd place in the Canaries WQS in 2006; 3rd place in the Maldives WQS in 2005; and 22nd overall in the 2005 WQS.
In 2007, Micro was sidelined from surfing with an injury, but he is back and ready to put Ireland on the surfing map, and to take on the European pro-circuit and WQS in hopes of qualifying for the World Championship Tour. This international goofy-foot surf maverick is currently making his home in Southern France, but also holds dual citizenship in both Ireland and Australia. |
